Lucy van Beek

Tailfeather founder and Creative Director, Lucy van Beek, is a multiple award-winning film maker who specialises in creating epic, entertaining wildlife and historical films that have true heart.  Her films have won seven Emmys, a BAFTA, the New York Film Festival Creative Award and numerous science and natural history gongs.  
 
By being at the cutting edge of technology she has been responsible for filming startling phenomena never before captured on camera – in some of the most challenging and remote areas of the planet.  She also creates sumptuous dramas with crews of over 3000 people on sets from China to Morocco.  She has the capacity to twin these two skill sets to create exciting, new ways of story telling.
 
She began her career working at the BBC’S Natural History Unit on David Attenborough’s Song of he Earth.  Her credits include the award-winning “Riders of the storm’, ‘Journey to the Centre of the Earth’, ‘Modern Masters’, ‘Britain from Above’, ‘The Crusades’ ‘China’s Megatomb Revealed’ and the global ratings smash; The Wonderful World of Puppies.
  
After four years running the prestigious company Blakeway, Lucy set up Tailfeather in 2020.
